Step 1:

    Start by sketching four different shapes and overlap them like in sample 1.

    Step 2:

    Now we need to draw in a guide for where the legs will go.  Sample 2  (below) shows how we can achieve this by using some more shapes.


    Step 3:

    Now that we have our basic guide sketched down we now need to draw in the actual outline of the horse.  (see below)

    Step 4:

    Once the actual outline of the horse is sketched in you will now need to start going around it again but with a darker tone and remove any unwanted lines.

    Step 5:

    Now that we have a clean image to work with we can now begin to add some shading.

    Step 6:
