Hello all. It’s now time to learn how to draw Spongebob with two step by step guides. One it’s pretty small and easy, with just 4 steps, while the other is more comprehensive, with 21 different steps. Both should help you learn the basics of drawing Spongebob and then you’ll just have to practice different hypostases, like the ones in the pictures bellow (from here)

Learn to draw Spongebob with step by step guides

But let’s just get drawing and start with the easy guide.

Step 1: Draw a cubish shape, slightly bended towards the back and add helping guidelines over it like in the picture below. They will help you position face elements and clothes on your future to be Spongebob drawing. Make these lines with a pencil so you’ll be able to delete them later on.

Step 1

Step 2: Add arms and legs to your character. Don’t forget to sketch the shoes. And then focus on the face, by drawing those big eyes Spongebob has, the nose and the big mouth, with the two teeth you all know from the cartoons.

Step 2

Step 3: Time to draw the clothes: tie, pants, belt, shirt and socks. All these should be placed like in the picture bellow. And later on, the details: eyelashes, pupils, etc . And finally, don’t forget about the spots.

Step 3

Step 4: And we’re almost done. In this final step you’ll have to delete the helping guidelines drawn at step 1and add shadows and details (or even color) to your Spongebob sketch. And that’s about it. You drawing should look like the one below. Does it?

The result

Very good if it does. And if doesn’t just give it another try, you’ll get it right eventually Pictures from the guide above came from here .

Also, there’s another guide, the complex one i was talking in the beginning. It’s only a picture (from here), but all the steps are quite simple and self explanatory (click the image bellow for the bigger version).

And that’s about it for today. We’re not going to have any videos of how to draw Spongebob today, as we only focused on step by step guides, but stay tuned, we’re preparing another guide with Spongebob characters (Squidward, Gary, Patrick, Plankton, etc ), that should be online in the next couple of weeks. Till then, keep practicing your Spongebob sketching and don’t forget to share your results with us.

Today we’re going to learn how to draw the legendary hero from Gotham city: Batman himself. This might not be as easy as you think, as the Dark Knight is quite a difficult character to draw. But, in the end, hopefully your sketches will look like the one on the right (source). That would be great, ay?

Fist, we’re going to start with a step by step guide and then we’ll continue with a couple of videos. And in the end, stay tuned for the bonus.

But for now, get your paper and pencils ready and let’s draw!

Step 1: Sketch the basic skeleton of your batman character just as you can see in the first picture above: the arms and legs, torso, head and the cloak.

Step 2: Complete the cloak. Draw the upper part of the legs like in the picture, add the belt and the horns Batman has on his head mask.

Step 3: Work on the lower part of the legs by drawing the boots and calves. Then work on the torso, adding muscles and details to that belt drawn at step 2. And finally add more details to the cloak.

Step 4: Work some more on the cloak. In this guide, you’ll have to keep adding details to the cloak till the end. In fond, what will Batman be without it Anyway, after that, work on the bat symbol on the chest. Try to make it look like in the picture above. And you’re almost done…

Steps 5-6: Well, this is how your Batman should look like, both black and white or in colors One more thing: the pictures in this guide came from here.

And now, the videos as i promised. These should also help you learn a couple of things about drawing Batman.

First, a video with only the head, meant for beginners.

And then, one a little more advanced, where you learn how to draw the entire body of the Dark Knight.

And finally… the bonus: an amazing video showing you how to draw the Joker character interpreted by the late Keith Ledger. You definitely have to see this one.

That’s about it for today. Hopefully you’ve learned a couple of things about drawing Batman. And, with a little bit of practice, you’ll get even better.

Don’t forget to leave us feedback on this "how to draw Batman guide" and stay tuned for more guides in the near future.

Drawing cartoon people is not as hard as you might think once you get a couple of basic ideas. Why, you may ask? Because each people has the same symmetrical structure: body, face, arms, legs, etc . You have to learn first how to position these elements in order to reach a natural position for your character. And from there on, there’s just details. We’re going to teach you in this cartoon people drawing guide exactly that: tips on how to position body elements.

As I’ve said, you need to start simply when approaching your cartoons, by sketching the outline for the body of your character. And there are two different approaches to do that.

the ovals method: like you can see in the picture bellow, try to sketch the body using oval shapes and try to make the position of the elements as natural as possible. Might not get it right from the first attempt, but you just have to keep practicing.

the sticks method: instead of ovals, you use sticks. This method works better when you need to give your character a certain pose or when you want to draw a special bone’s position. I also find it a lot easier to add details later on with this method, as i don’t get confused by too many guidelines. The picture below is a good example of this method.

Once you’ve managed to master these techniques, drawing cartoon characters will be easier. If you’re already experienced in drawing faces and clothes, it would be even easier. If not, you just have to keep trying.

Of course, once you’ve reached a certain level you will be able to draw freely, without using any sketch lines. It might take you a while to get here and i don’t recommend trying this if you’re a beginner. But I’ll still show you a coupe of videos with how cartoon people can be drawn by pros. Check them out below.

Draw a female cartoon character

Draw clothing on cartoon people

That’s about it for today. I know I’ve only covered the scratches of drawing cartoon people and cartoon characters, but stay tuned as we’ll have new posts on this subject too. We’ll talk about how to draw cartoon people faces, how to draw clothes, how to suggest age and other stuff like this. So don’t forget to subscribe to stay in touch with our cartoon drawing guides.

Today we’re going to learn a little about how to draw Tinkerbell, the most famous fairy of all times. Being known from Disney’s Peter Pan animated movie, Tinkerbell has become one of the most beloved Disney characters. And since kids love it, they also want to know how to draw Tinkerbell. And that’s what we’re going to teach you here.

We have a couple of videos later on, but first, a step by step guide with pictures. So, get your tools ready (pencils, paper and stuff), get a good look on some Tinkerbell pictures just to get an idea of what we’re going to draw (in case you don’t know how Tinkerbell looks…) and let’s get started.

First steps: Now that you know how Tinkerbell looks, we’ll start our guide with a not so popular approach: We’ll draw without any helping lines, from head to bottom. And we’re going to start with the eyes. Then sketch the face line and then the hair. Now add extra details to the face, just like in the picture bellow. And then, we’ll get to drawing the body.

Drawing the body: We start by sketching the dress. After that, you have to draw Tinkerbell’s hands: one bended and one lying near the body. The pictures bellow will serve as perfect examples.

Final steps: Now that the upper part of the body is finished, we have to draw the legs and wings. It’s pretty simple, just watch how it’s done in the picture bellow, and try to make them yourself. In the end, you can always add more details and color to your Tinkerbell drawing.

That concludes this very simple but effective guide, with the pictures taken from here. There’s also another approach to drawing Tinkerbell: using sketch lines for every part of the body before starting to draw the actual character. This idea is illustrated in the video drawing guide below:

And in the end, here’s another great video with a skilled artist in action. If you will follow the guides presented in this post and practice a lot, you might one day get to draw as fast and as great as he/she does.

That concludes our how to draw Tinkerbell guide post. But stay tuned for more Disney characters guides to come in the near future.

No, this is just a post with lots of pictures and videos of Mickey Mouse and his friends: Pluto, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and all the others.

Why are we making such a post? Because we liked those Disney characters so much when we were kids, and since Mickey is immortal, we know kids still like them nowadays too. So, we thought it would be a great idea to put some smiles on their faces.

Mickey Mouse was my favourite cartoon character back when i was a kid. I had lots of magazines with him and i used to try to draw Mickey for hours, but it never seemed to get just as i wanted. I’m sure you try to draw it too, that’s why I’ve put together a couple o guides that should teach you how to draw Mickey Mouse in no time.

First, we have a 12 steps pretty comprehensive guide. Pictures in this guide came from here. So let’s get started:

Step 1: Start by drawing a big circle for Mickey’s head. Also sketch a guideline to help you place the eyes later on.

Step 2: Sketch guidelines for Mickey’s ears like in picture number 2 and a smaller circle for his face.

Step 3: Using the guidelines from step number two, draw the ears. On top of the smaller circle draw an even smaller one that represents your character’s nose. Sketch Mickey’s body.

Step 4: Using the guideline from the first step, draw the eyes. Down the body, sketch a line that will help you position the legs proportionally later on.

Step 5: Draw Mickey’s arms like in picture number 5.

Step 6: Draw the lines that limit Mickey’s face and continue the guideline drawn down the body further on. Draw a small circle on top of the left hand, that will help you sketch the hand.

Step 7: Sketch Mickey’s legs using the guideline from step 6.

Step 8: Sketch the fingers on Mickey’s left hand and his mouth.

Step 9: Complete the left hand and then work on you character’s shoes. They should look like in picture number 9.

Step 10: It’s not time to focus on Mickey’s clothes. Draw some helping lines that will guide you in drawing the pants and shirt later.

Step 11: Complete the shirt and the pants like in picture 11.

Step 12: Now erase the helping lines drawn in the previous steps and add some shadows to your sketch. That’s about it. Your Mickey should look like in picture number 12. If it doesn’t, don’t despair. Practice make better, so follow this guide over and over again till you make it right.

And a little bonus: the above drawn Mickey Mouse in a bigger version. All you have to do is download the picture, print it and you get a perfect Mickey Mouse coloring page.

Also, here’s a little video showing you how a pro draws a pretty nice picture of Mickey Mouse.

That about it for today. But since Mickey Mouse is so popular, we’ll try to post some other guides to help you draw Mickey Mouse in the future. So stay tuned.

It’s now time to start a new series of drawing guides, with Disney characters in the spotlights. And today it’s time for yours truly: Donald Duck. That’s right, we are going to learn how to draw Donald Duck.

Donald lives in Duckburg with his nephews, Louie, Dewey and Huey. He appears in contact with other Disney characters: uncle Scrooge, Daisy, Grandma Duck and others. His fiery temper gets him in lots of trouble and funny situations, but he always tries to fight his way out of them. He never succeeds though…

Now, before starting the guides, we must add that Donald always wears a blue sailor suit and a tiny cap on his head.

OK, get your pen and paper ready cause we’re starting. First we have a 4 steps guide (from here) and then some videos from the pros.

Learn to draw Donald in 4 steps:

Step 1: Start by sketching a circle with a cross inside. These will act as guidelines for Donald’s face elements. Now draw his eyes like in the picture. Draw Donald’s upper and the lower bill that curves beneath the circle. Don’t forget his tongue. Sketch the eyebrows and the rest of his head.

Step 2: Since we are only drawing Donald’s head in this guide, the hardest elements were contained in the first step. Now we have to draw his cap like in the second picture. Also, don’t forget the caps back ribbon.

Step 3: Now it’s time to erase all the helping lines

Step 4: Finally, add some colours to your sketch. Et voila, you Donald is ready.

And the Donald Duck drawing guide video, bellow:

That’s about it. Hope you’ve learned a little bit about drawing Donald. And stay tuned, cause more guides with Mickey, Daisy, Goofy and other Disney characters will come.

Yoda, the nine hundred years old Jedi Master from Star Wars, is one of the most loved characters of the series. That’s why today we are going to find out how to draw Yoda. But first, a couple of words about him.

Being a protecor of the Force his entire life, Yoda was part of the Jedi high Council back in the days of the republic. He struggled to fight against the rise of the Drak Force followers, but was defeated in combat by Lord Sidious and his new disciple: Anakin Skywalker, also known as Darth Vader. After that, he retreats to the far away planet of Dagobah, waiting for the one who will restore balance to the Force and defeat the Emperor: Luke Skywalker.

But now let’s get to drawing. We don’t have a step by step draw guide of Master Yoda here today, but you can find a pretty good one right here. But we do have a couple of great videos that should teach you exactly what you need to know about drawing Yoda.

Video 1 – draw yoda with a black pencil

Video 2 – draw Yoda in colors

That’s about it. Now let’s get practicing, as practice is the only way to learn how to draw Master Yoda like the guys in these videos do.

You start by drawing two circles, one for the head and one for the body. Than sketch the legs and draw two more big ovals for the wings of your cupid. Think about where the arms of your cupid should go, and consider that one arm should hold the big love bow. Now sketch that arm and the bow. Draw the other arm along the Cupids body and place an arrow in it. That’s it with the basic stuff.

Drawing cupid – get into the details

Let’s go back to the circle representing the head. Draw the eyes, nose and the hair of your character just the way you imagine them. Remember, Cupid is just a chubby kid after all. Focus on the arms and draw the muscles, fingers and position them in suitable ways.

Now the wings. Drawing the wings is an important step in the process of drawing your Cupid. The two big circles drew before will now get all the details needed, getting a wing shape, with feathers and all.

Hmm, what’s next? The legs, of course. Don’t forget about them.

Drawing cupid – the final steps

All you have to do now is gett over the sketch with a marker or a pen and draw the final lines. You can after this erase all the lines left during the process, so your Cupid Drawing would look sleek and clean. In the end, you can always add some colour, or keep it black and white if you think this way your creation is more expressive.

That concludes our learn how to draw Cupid Guide. Now, go practice!

Draw a rectangle; make sure it is not too long. Sketch lightly a maybe curved cross that goes about a quarter in..

Erase the edges of the previous square and make it bumpy.

Draw two wide, circle eyes – The eyes must be colored white, and the 2 small circles inside should be black. The circles around the small black circles should be blue.

Draw a long, slim stick which increases ever so slightly in width for the nose. The nose has to be in the center.

Draw a mouth connected to the nose, which is black with a red tongue. Make sure you have two quite noticeable bumps for his cheeks, with three red dots on them.

Draw two buck teeth and color them white.

Draw square pants with thin, black rectangles going across the waist (4), draw a collar with a tie. Color the pants in brown, the shirt white and the tie red. At the very bottom, draw two rectangles sticking out from underneath which will be the pant legs.

Draw sleeves, which should be located slightly above the middle of his body, and should be in the shape of a fourth of an oval.

For hands, draw two perfect circles, which will be the palms, and then draw what you did for the nose – a slim stick that is slightly wider at the ends.

Draw two legs that have characteristics just like the arms, poking out from the two pant legs. Draw socks with 2 lines on them, and black shiny shoes.

Add Spongebob’s holes, these are a darkish yellow-green. On your right side, there are 3 holes: one big at the top, and at the bottom there is one big hole followed by a smaller one. On the left side, there is a big and a small hole on both the top and bottom.
