Step 1:

A wolfs face is kind of like a diamond shape. Sketch a similar shape to sample 1 and make sure to include the ears. Sample 2 shows how this guide is used to map out the face.

Step 2:

Once happy with the general layout you can now start to add some fur and erase all unwanted marks..

Step 3:

Draw over the wolf again with a darker tone after you’ve erased all unwanted pencil marks. Once happy begin shading your wolf.

Step 4:

I chose to stick with black and grey for the rendering but you should feel free to use color if you wish.

Start by sketching a large oval shape with a smaller oval shape in the upper middle like in sample 1 below.  The large oval indicates the mane whereas the smaller oval is our guide for the lions face.  The small circles are for the ears.

Step 2:

Once you’re happy with your lion you are now ready to erase all unwanted marks and draw over the lion again with a darker pencil like in sample 4.

Step 3:

Now shade it in however you like, I chose to stick with black and grey for this guide.

Before we add detail we need to understand how a koi fish is made up.  Sample 1 below shows a general guide to start you off with.  Once you have this guide down your ready to start adding detail.

Step 2:

Now start to add extra details like the scales, eye and feelers like in sample 3.  Once happy with your drawing erase the guide.

Step 3:

Sample 5 shows the koi fish drawn in fine line pen.  I always prefer to use pen for the outline but you can use a darker pencil if you wish.  In sample 6 I’ve started to add some shading.

Step 4:

Koi fish are very colorful but for this guide I chose to use black and grey.  So feel free to add lots of color to your fish if you wish. Have fun with it!

Start by sketching an arc/semi circle shape like in sample 1 below.  Then start to add triangular shapes for the fins and tail like in sample 2.

Step 2:

Once you have your general guide down you can start to add detail like below.

Step 3:

Once you’re happy with your dolphin lightly erase all unwanted marks and go over it again using a darker pencil or fine line pen like in sample 5.  Once this is done your ready for the fun part, shading!

Step 4:

I haven’t it shown it here but for extra effect try adding a few splashes of pencil marks below the dolphin.  This will give the impression that its jumping out of water.

To start with draw four different sized oval shapes and place them like in the sample below.

Step 2:

Now add four long vertical rectangles like in the sample below.  This will give us the basic guide for our piglet.

Step 3:

Now using our guide from step 2 we need to give our pig some features and also draw in the actual outline of the pig like below.

Step 4:

Now draw around the outline in a darker tone and remove all unwanted marks leaving you with a clean image.

Step 5:

Your now ready to add some shading to your drawing like below.

Sketch a small circle and an oval and place them like below.

Step 2:
Now sketch a triangular shape on top of the oval creating a guide for the birds wings.  And also sketch in a rectangular shape for the tail. (see below)

Step 3:
Now that we have our basic layout down add some legs and start to add detail like in sample 3 below.

Step 4:
Once your happy with the way your bird looks draw around him in a darker tone and  erase all unwanted lines.

Step 5:
Now for the fun part, add some color!

Start by sketching four different shapes and overlap them like in sample 1.

Step 2:

Now we need to draw in a guide for where the legs will go.  Sample 2  (below) shows how we can achieve this by using some more shapes.

Step 3:

Now that we have our basic guide sketched down we now need to draw in the actual outline of the horse.  (see below)

Step 4:

Once the actual outline of the horse is sketched in you will now need to start going around it again but with a darker tone and remove any unwanted lines.

Step 5:

Now that we have a clean image to work with we can now begin to add some shading.

Step 6:

See how a little shading can bring it to life.

Step 1:

Draw two ovals, one small and one large and position them like below.

Step 2:

Now add some more shapes like below.  This will give us the basic guide for our penguin.

Step 3:

Now start to draw in the actual outline of the penguin and add some other details like the eye and feet.

Step 4:

Once happy with your drawing begin to erase some of the unwanted lines.

Step 5:

Draw around your penguin using a darker toned pencil then clean your image with an eraser removing all unwanted lines so your left with a nice clean image like below.

Step 6:

Now your ready to do some rendering!

Step1:

A butterfly basically consists of three shapes, a triangle, oval and a cone. So what you need to do is sketch out these shapes like below and then position them like in sample 2.

Step 2:

The shapes are to be used as a guide and now that you have the basic shape down you can start to add detail. So now what you need to do is erase the lines that overlap like in sample 3, and using the shapes as a guide you can draw in your own wing and body shapes.

Step 3:

Now erase the guide and add a pattern within the wings like in sample 6.

Step 4:

It is important to have a clean image before you start to add color.  So you may want to consider drawing around the whole image with a much neater line and erase any unwanted lines or marks, like in sample 7.
